Privacy Policy
Last updated September 27, 2026.
Senderia is pre-launch. This policy explains what we collect through this site today, why, and how you can control it. It will get more detailed as the product does.
What we collect
The signup form asks for all of the following, and every item is required to join the list:
- Your email address
- Your first and last name
- Whether you’re a student or a parent
- Your (or your student’s) high school graduation year, or whether you’ve already graduated
- Which page you signed up from, and the campaign link that brought you here if there was one
- The date and the version of this policy and our Terms you agreed to
If you use the fit checker’s “keep this up to date” prompt, we also keep your (or your student’s) intended field of study, whether you’ve taken or plan to take AP exams, and the languages you speak beyond English, so we can tell you when something changes for what you picked. The signup form doesn’t ask for these.
If you signed up before September 23, 2026, the form also asked for your home state and those three answers. We still hold what you gave us then; you can ask us to delete it using the contact details below.
The “Be first to know” form is separate and asks for less: just your first name and email address, and the consent record above. It doesn’t unlock any of the tools on this site.
We deliberately don’t collect anything about your money. The fit checker and cost calculator ask about your budget and spending style, and those answers never leave your browser — they aren’t sent to us, stored, or shared. They live in your device’s local storage and you can clear them at any time.
If you purchase a paid plan, your payment goes directly to our payment processor — we never receive or store your full card number. We keep only the fact that you purchased a plan, which one, and when.
We also briefly note the IP address a submission comes from, only to prevent abuse of the signup form (rate limiting). It isn’t stored alongside your email or used for anything else. We use an analytics service to understand overall visits to this site — it doesn’t use cookies or collect personal information tied to you individually.
How we use it
To send you updates about Senderia and, when relevant, tailor those updates to whether you’re a student or a parent, your graduation year, or the plan you told us you’d want. We don’t use your information for targeted advertising, and we don’t sell it.
Who we share it with
We run this site on our own internal systems and a small number of technology vendors: to host the site and its database, to send email, to understand overall visits in aggregate, and, when paid plans open, to process payments. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job.
If you sign in with a third-party account, we never see or store that account’s password. When paid plans open, your card details go directly to our payment processor; we never receive or store your full card number.
We don’t share, sell, or rent your information to anyone else, and we don’t accept payment from universities in exchange for your data or for how we present them to you.
Cookies and local storage
By default, your shortlist, application checklist, and fit-check answers are saved only in your browser’s local storage — never sent to us, and never readable by us.
If you choose to sign in — with an emailed link or a third-party account — we also keep a copy of your shortlist, checklist, and the non-financial half of your fit profile (your graduation year, AP status, intended field, and languages) so they follow you to another device. Your budget, spending style, and the U.S.-baseline comparison are never part of that copy, signed in or not — see “We deliberately don’t collect anything about your money” above. Signing in is always your choice: nothing on this site requires it, and everything above works the same without it.
Signing up sets one cookie, sn_access, which unlocks the program finder and, for a paid plan, the shortlist and application tools. It records only which tier you have and when that expires — no email address, no identifier, and nothing used for tracking or advertising.
Signing in sets a second cookie, sn_session, so we can recognize your browser on your next visit. It carries a random code that means nothing on its own — we look it up against our own records to find your account, rather than storing your email or any other identifying information inside the cookie itself. You can sign out of one device or every device from the account page at any time, which immediately invalidates it.
Minors
Senderia is built for high-school students, many of whom are under 18. The signup form is for people 13 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and if we learn that we have, we’ll delete it.
If you’re signing up as a student under 18, you’re confirming that a parent or guardian is aware and has said it’s okay. If you’re a parent and want to review, correct, or delete your student’s information, email us at admin@senderia.ai, and we’ll take care of it.
Your choices and rights
- Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Using it removes you from the list.
- To access, correct, or delete your information entirely, email admin@senderia.ai.
- We don’t sell your personal information and don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there’s no opt-out needed for that under California or other state privacy laws — but you’re still welcome to contact us with any request.
Retention
We keep your information for as long as you’re subscribed, or until you ask us to delete it. If you’ve purchased a paid plan, we keep the record of that purchase (and any refund) for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes, even after a deletion request.
Sign-in records are kept on a much shorter clock, because they don’t need to last. When you ask for a sign-in link, we store the email address you typed alongside that single link; that record is deleted within about a day of the link expiring or being used, whether or not you ever finish signing in. Records of a signed-in device are deleted about a month after that session expires or you sign it out.
To stop the site being flooded, we count recent requests. The count is kept against a scrambled, one-way form of your IP address — or, when you ask for a sign-in link, of the email address you typed — which can’t be turned back into the original. A count only matters for as long as its window lasts (at most 30 days), and is cleared out after that.
Security
We keep our own copy of your signup details in a Postgres database, and rely on our service providers’ security practices for the rest. We hold our own copy deliberately: it means we can show you everything we have about you, and delete all of it, without depending on another company’s tooling. We take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let existing subscribers know.
